Anthony MORRIS

Anthony Ernest Morris ("Tony") was born on February 13, 1954 in Trinidad, West Indies, where he grew up in Duncan Village. He graduated high school from Saint Paul E.C. and attended Renown College where he specialized in Machinery and Drafting. He also worked in the family jewelry business as a skilled goldsmith.

Tony later joined his mother accompanied by his two younger sisters in the United States on February 12, 1975, where they settled in Baltimore, Maryland. It was here he befriended Valerie Hickman and later they married and had a large family.

Tony pursued many occupations, including being a professional truck driver. Some would say he was a jack-of-all-trades.

Tony ("Brother Anthony") accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior many years ago and loved to fellowship with other Christians. Brother Anthony was a faithful and devoted member of Lighthouse Community Church for many years. Brother Anthony served in many capacities including being a very passionate praise team member. He also served for several years on the church administrative board as co-chair of the property commission, which meant that he volunteered many hours at the church and even helped Pastor and ("Mother") Harvey at their home.

Tony enjoyed listening to various types of music, playing different instruments, and helping people, especially the elderly and youth, and most of all Tony was a loving and devoted father and husband.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Roy Matthew Morris. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving friend of 35 years and devoted wife, Valerie Hickman-Morris; his loving children; Anthony Jr., Darrius, Glenn, Kelly, and Jessica (his baby girl). grandchildren; Trayveon, Kamren, Ta'Mya, Kendrick, Jordan, and Jerimiah. mother, Barbara M. Blenman; Step-father, Errol Blenman; siblings, Keith, Monty, Rudolph (Marie) Curtis, Laura (Danny), Dianna, David, and Ann; one wonderful aunt; a host of wonderful nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends.
