Ardthare Willis ROBINSON
August 16, 1923 - August 19, 2014

Ardthare was born on August 16, 1923 in Kentucky to the union of Lenora Whaley & Clarence Willis. She has now joined her husband James R. Robinson, sons Erastus, Rolen Ray, and Stanley Jackson, brother Margin Willis, sister Cozine Lyttle, and other dearly & missed loved ones.

She has been a member of Summit Christian Church most of her life. Ardthare worked many years in the nursing field. She opened the Alice Anderson Nursing Home in 1956 with the assistance of her daughters Wanda & Brenda, Nurse Swinford & the Bourbon Co. Health Dept. They provided care for sick & elderly black women. This was the first and only black Nursing Home in Paris, KY from 1956-1963.

Leaving us to cherish her memories are: daughters Wanda Anderson (Willie [Pamela] Barnes-Jackson& William Brooks); Brenda Ricks (Ina Thomas, Coett, Juan [Janice] & Lafayette [Jennifer]Jackson); Ardthare Roberta Rucker (Anita, Dauwn [Timothy], Dawnnita, Sobriyia, Lenee & Genoa); son's: Robert [Emma], (Rodney [Royann], Robert Clay III [Quita]); George [Lucy] (George Jr. [Alicia] & Darryl); Rolen Ray's children (Rolen, Ronald, Natalie, Rejaunce, Tim, Shelonda, Dawn, Jaquetta, Rodney, Georgia, Rae'Ina & Jennie); Stanley's children (Stanley V, Kristi, Todd, Kendra); Clarence (Michelle, Robert [Heather], Noell & Teddy).

Ardthare was blessed with many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 10a-12p at Bowman Funeral Chapel, 2060 Germantown St., Dayton. Repast immediately following at Summit Christian Church, 4021 Denlinger Rd.

Interment will be Monday, August 25, 2014 at 1pm at West Memory Gardens, 6722 Hemple Rd.
