Brenda J. STROUD

Brenda Joyce Moore Stroud, the baby of eight children, was born May 5, 1956 to the late Litt Moore and Addie Bradley Moore in Tuscaloosa, AL. Brenda accepted Christ at an early age at Christian Hope Baptist Church in Reform, AL. After her family moved to Northport, AL she united with New Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a member until she relocated to Dayton, OH; because of her faith and love of God she united with True Vine Missionary Baptist Church and then became a member of Omega Baptist Church in Dayton, OH. She served faithfully as a greeter and a member of the mixed adult Sunday school class. Brenda was genuine and passionate about serving God.

Brenda was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School and Shelton State Community College where she received a degree in data processing. Later she moved to Dayton, OH and married Ray Putman. To this union one child was born, Ne'Londa Putman. On June 28, 1997 she married the love of her life, her best friend and the man she committed herself to for life, her loving husband Raymond Stroud. They became one and lived their lives as such nurturing their daughter Ne'Londa.

Brenda held several jobs during her career where she settled in at Johnson Electric and worked for 14 years.

On Saturday, August 22, 2015 God called Brenda Joyce Moore Stroud to his Heavenly Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Juliette Moore Walker and brother Willie C. Moore.

Brenda was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband Raymond of eighteen years; daughter Ne'Londa; grandson Jabarri all of Dayton; two brothers Fredrick Moore, James (Shirley) Moore of Northport, AL; three sisters, Frances (Rev. Jesse) Prewitt of Dayton, OH, Tiny Fulgham of Northport, AL, and Linda Linebarger of Tuscaloosa, AL; special cousin Rev. Bob (Gloria) Guyton of Tuscaloosa, AL; three special friends Donna Whaley, Kim Harris, and Rosalynn Taylor of Dayton, OH; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Brenda will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
