Calvin Coleman, Jr.
Calvin Coleman, Jr., age 62, departed this life
on March 28, 2014 unexpectedly at his residence.
He was a graduate of Middletown High School and
attended the University of Cincinnati where he studied. In high
school, he excelled in sports where he was a stellar athlete in
both track and football. Like most of his siblings, he was also
very good in still life drawing.
He was employed at St. Regis Paper Company and later
at AK Steel, formerly known as Armco Steel, in the maintenance
department. He left Armco Steel and later enlisted in the Army
where he received an honorable discharge.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Calvin
Sr. and Treva Coleman of Middletown, OH, four brothers: Alvin
Coleman (Annette) of Cincinnati, OH; Greg Coleman (Brenda) of
Hamilton, OH; Richard Coleman of Middletown, OH; Geno Coleman
of Queen Creek, Arizona; two sisters: Diana Pearson (Terry) of
Liberty Township, OH; and Marilyn Coleman of Middletown, OH; one
daughter Diane Wofford of Middletown, OH and a host of nieces,
nephews and relatives.
It is no secret that Calvin Jr. had a long struggle
with drug and alcohol use. His battle is over and the family finds
comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.
Family invites friends to a Funeral Service on Thursday,
April 10, 2014 at 11am at United Missionary Baptist Church, 719
18th Avenue, Middletown, OH 45044.
