Calvin Coleman, Jr.

Calvin Coleman, Jr., age 62, departed this life on March 28, 2014 unexpectedly at his residence.

He was a graduate of Middletown High School and attended the University of Cincinnati where he studied. In high school, he excelled in sports where he was a stellar athlete in both track and football. Like most of his siblings, he was also very good in still life drawing.

He was employed at St. Regis Paper Company and later at AK Steel, formerly known as Armco Steel, in the maintenance department. He left Armco Steel and later enlisted in the Army where he received an honorable discharge.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Calvin Sr. and Treva Coleman of Middletown, OH, four brothers: Alvin Coleman (Annette) of Cincinnati, OH; Greg Coleman (Brenda) of Hamilton, OH; Richard Coleman of Middletown, OH; Geno Coleman of Queen Creek, Arizona; two sisters: Diana Pearson (Terry) of Liberty Township, OH; and Marilyn Coleman of Middletown, OH; one daughter Diane Wofford of Middletown, OH and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.

It is no secret that Calvin Jr. had a long struggle with drug and alcohol use. His battle is over and the family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.

Family invites friends to a Funeral Service on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 11am at United Missionary Baptist Church, 719 18th Avenue, Middletown, OH 45044.
