Calvin W. SCHROER Calvin W. Schroer born January 26, 1944 entered eternal rest May 19, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Vera Schroer. Calvin is survived by his loving wife Carol and their children: Debbie (Rob) Nungester, David Schroer and Rachel Schroer. He also leaves behind to honor his memory a large extended family that includes: Nancy (Greg) Albright, Russ Bayersdorfer, Joan (John) Allen, Mike (Carol) Bayersdorfer as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calvin was a devoted man of God, who had a great love of the Lord. As a retired minister from the United Church of Christ, he shared this love with many people throughout his life. He was always willing to share his faith and participate in discussions of scripture. He was also a 45 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He served Hoffner Chapter as Worthy Patron more than 10 times. He was a man who enjoyed word puzzles, games and his gadgets. Through the years he also enjoyed many hobbies including string art, leather working, plastic canvas and cross stitch. His varied talents and the enjoyment his got from all his activities will be missed by his family and many friends. We can all be comforted by the thought that Calvin is no longer in pain and suffering. He is now home in the arms of our Lord.
