Christine DAVENPORT

Christine Davenport, was born December 28, 1948 to Winston and Elizabeth Davenport in Dayton, Ohio. She went home to be with the Lord on Friday May 8, 2015.

Christine was educated in the Dayton Public School System, graduating from Dunbar High School, Class of 1968. She worked as a Cosmetologist for several years.

She was baptized in Jesus' Name and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. She has attended Bethesda Temple for the last four years and was a member of the All Stars Sunday School Class. She enjoyed singing and spreading the Word of God, witnessing to her family, friends, and many people that she came in contact with. Sis. Christine was a praiser, often rejoicing and worshipping the God of her salvation. Christine loved her family, she had a very loving spirit, and was always willing to give of herself to help others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Winston and Elizabeth.

She leaves to cherish precious memories: Two Sons: Thaddeus E. Latham, Pensacola, Florida and Johnny E. Howell, Jr., Dayton, Ohio; Daughter: LaQuandria Howell, West Palm Beach, Florida; Three Granddaughters: Keyairia Ivory, Nitikeisha Howell, and Jae'lah Bolden; Grandson: Kamari McDonald; Two Brothers: James Davenport, Detroit, Michigan and Zlyad (Linda) Shabazz, (aka, Junior), of Kansas; Four sisters: Ernestine Latham (Charles) Cavers, Mabel Davenport, Cynthia (Louis) Tompkins, all of Dayton, Ohio and Laura Alexander, Detroit, Michigan; Special Friend, Joyce Terry; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and the Bethesda Temple Church Family.
