Clifford NORTH

Clifford Lanson North, also affectionately known by family and friends as "Buster", went home to be with the Lord at the age of 80. He passed at UC Health Drake Center in Cincinnati, OH due to heart complications and kidney failure on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.

Clifford Lanson North was born on April 10, 1935 in Mount Pleasant, TN to Evan North and Hallie Wallace. He had a special affection for his maternal grandmother, Louisa Wallace, who helped raise him. At a young age, he gave his life to Christ through baptism.

Clifford spent most of his youth in Mount Pleasant, TN. In his teens, he came to Cincinnati, OH to work during the summers. He later moved to Cincinnati permanently and married Billie Mae White. He was a butcher by trade and retired from the meat packing industry. Clifford enjoyed sports; he played football through high school and had a special appreciation for baseball. He was a Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals fan, regularly watching and cheering them on. He was adventurous, loved listening to music, and liked to travel.

After living several years in Detroit, MI, Clifford returned to Cincinnati, OH to be closer to his mother, who he cared for and enjoyed spending time with. He was very generous and kind-hearted, often helping friends and family in need. He was a positive thinker and rarely complained. He would often be heard saying, "Peace be still." He enjoyed attending church service and praising the Lord.

Clifford was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Mae North; mother Hallie Benion, sister Dorothy "Dottie" Jones Craig, and son Clifford Lanson North, Jr.

Clifford is survived by daughters Gwendolyn Elizabeth Edogun (Maurice), Jacqueline North, Kellye O'Shae North; son Richard D'Angelo North; nieces Davena Jones Williams (Wayne), Christina Jones; grandchildren Esohe, Modupe, Kortne, Lauren, Rikkia, Steve, Sunny, Brynn. He also leaves behind to cherish his loving memory a host of family and friends.
