Dawn EDWARDS

Dawn Denise Edwards (Niecy) was born on April 27, 1958 in Dayton Ohio to Sarah Shields and Charles Stone. She was united in marriage for 29 years to Kirby, and to that union six children, Kee, Kevin, Antonio, Keisha, Adrian, and Kalon. She was a graduate of Wilber Wright High School, class of 1976 and a graduate of Sinclair Community College.

Dawn was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Shields, brother, Ernest Shields, grandmother, Mattie L. Williams, aunts, Emily Sims, Clotean Shields, and uncle, Stanley Nick Sims.

She has been a resident of Dayton, Ohio for 56 years, and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Dawn was employed at Daymont West and Richard Allen Schools for several years. Dawn was dedicated to her family and truly loved the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and faithful husband, of 29 years, Kirby, six children, Kee (Marie), Kevin (Latoya), Antonio (Amanda), Keisha, Adrian, and Kalon; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Kobe, Kamara, Keejay, Kevin, Edrena, James and Jackson; two loving sisters, Yolanda and Carla of Dayton, Ohio; devoted sister in-laws, Eloise (Skippy) McCoy and Peggy (Kevin) Harris of Middleton, Ohio; two brother in laws, Lee Roy (Gloria) Edwards and Tommy (Carol) Edwards of Middletown, Ohio; devoted aunts, Sheila (David) Gilbert, Leila Kaye Kelly, and Bernadetta Laury, and a host of loving and dedicated cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews and friends.

The family invites friends to a Visitation (10am) and Funeral Service (11am) on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 380 South Broadway St, Dayton, OH 45402.
