Deborah WRIGHT
Deborah Ann Wright was born January 17, 1951 in
Dayton, Ohio to parents Horace Jones and Dorothy Ray Jones. She
departed on July 21, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Debbie is
now joined with her parents, husband Sam Wright, and baby brother
Bryant Jones.
Debbie was born and raised in Dayton, OH and attended
Roosevelt High School which she ultimately had to forgo in efforts
to raise her first born child and build a life with her husband.
She sacrificed child's play for the mature requirements of being
a wife and a mother. This sacrifice became her "Strong Suit".
Debbie mothered four children (2 girls and 2 boys).
She made sure they were raised with proper values, morals, character,
and a strong love and faith in the LORD. Debbie also mothered
and positively impacted numerous other young men and women; her
maternal qualities earned her the well known name "Momma
Abbott".
Debbie enjoyed spending time with all of her family
and friends. She was always up for a backyard cookout and listening
to some good music (especially Luther Vandross and Frankie Beverly
& Maze). She would participate in all the physical activities
and games, and most of all you could hear her distinctive "Jones
Family" laugh from afar.
Debbie was a committed and tireless worker. She
worked in the manufacturing field as a Forklift Supervisor for
the majority of her long career. She loved her Chrysler / Behr
co-workers and had their love and respect in return. Three words
greatly describe Debbie: Fair, Firm & Fun.
Debbie married long-time boyfriend Samuel Wright
and never looked back. They were a very fun spirited and entertaining
pair; rather their agreeing or disagreeing was fun to witness.
The would play cat and mouse like no other.
Debbie leaves to share her memories her sister Karen
Jones (Melvin) and brother Billy Jones (Stephanie); four children
Rhonda Clay, Ron Abbott (Angie), Betty Abbott, and Kenny J. Bozeman
(Dionne); two step-daughters Cookie Wright and Candy Wright; 28
grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins,
and friends; and her special niece Renee Jones (Ciph).
