Delores SMITH

Dolores Alberta Smith was born on December 10, 1933 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She departed this life to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Noris Henry Horton and Hazel Louise Perryman Alves, brother, Donald Atlee; and children, Larry Eugene, Dwight Maurice, Trina Quilita Smith.

Dolores attended Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School on Summit Street. She worked as a cook at various locations throughout the Dayton area for many years. In 2005 and she accepted Christ and became a member of Phillips Temple CME Church.

She leaves a legacy of love to her children; Sundye Renee Candy, Anthony Dean, Dwayne Delmar and Donna Michelle all of Dayton, Ohio; Terrance (Andrea) of Scottsdale, Arizona; Darlene Linda of Columbus, Ohio; Darryl Lynn of Dallas Fort Wort, Texas; brothers, Raymond Alves Jr. of Dayton, Ohio; Ronald Nathaniel Alves of San Antonio, Texas; Colonel Dr. Loren Douglas Alves of Greenville, North Carolina and sister, Barbara Joyce Baccus of Van Nuys, California, beholding grandchildren, Joy (Jermaine) Coles of Lexington, Kentucky, Jamie (Arien) Edwards of Fort Knox, Kentucky, Quanesha Smith of Los Angeles, California, Stacey Treadwell and Jamice Fisher Reeves both of Dayton, Ohio and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation (10a) and Funeral (11a) will be Thur, Oct 29, 2015 at Phillips Temple CME Church, 3620 Shiloh Springs Rd. Rev. James E. Washington officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens.
