Ida WILLIAMS

Ida Lou Williams (nee Smith), was born on August 13, 1936 to the
union of Forest and Candice Smith, she was one of six children. The family moved to Cincinnati, OH in 1941 and she graduated from Bloom High School.
Ida was married to the late David Williams, Jr. in 1955; they were married 53 years. She departed this life on July 25, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Candice Bell Smith, Forest Duke Smith; husband David Williams, Jr.; son, Abdul Waili Muhammad; daughter Rhonda Williams; son, Tyrone Williams; bother Forest Smith; son-in-law R. T. Wilson; and grandson, Demarco Williams.

Ida was baptized in the name of Jesus and received the gift of the Holy Ghost in 1962, at Bethlehem Temple Church located at 1205 Elm Street, Cincinnati, OH under the leadership of the late Bishop Elzie W. Young.

Ida worked as a head cook at Byras Nursing Home in Walnut Hills for 25 years. She also worked as a Ceramic Instructor at Hersch Community Center for ten years. She enjoyed cooking (she was an excellent cook). She loved bowling, skating, and her all-time favorite was goodwill shopping!
Ida is survived by her children - David (Sheila) Williams, Deborah Wilson, Yvonne Kitchens, Sylvia Williams, and Jeanette Williams. Sisters, Elizabeth Williams; Helen Frison; Bernice Hollowman; and Virginia Woods; 21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
