Inez RAILEY

Inez (Crowder) Railey was born March 18, 1932 in Barnesville, Georgia to the late John Thomas Crowder and Lavonia Gardner. There were seven children born of this union. She was preceded in death by Brothers and Sisters; John, Emma (Lowe), Clarence, Juanita (Davis), James and Emory Crowder.

Inez was baptized in the Catholic faith at Our Mother of God Church in Walnut Hills, Cincinnati, Ohio. Inez continued to be a steadfast member at Assumption (Walnut Hills), St. Mark (Evanston) and most recently The Church of the Resurrection (Bond Hill).

Inez moved to Cincinnati at young age with a number of her Brothers, Sisters and Cousins. The "Crew" grew up as a very close-knit family on Ridgeway Ave. (Avondale). She attended and graduated from Woodward High School in 1950. Inez was married to the late Joseph Railey in February 1955 and had five children. Inez became a State of Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse on September 5, 1958. She retired from Jewish Hospital after over 25 years of service. Even to this day, people still remember Inez's caring and dedicated service as a caregiver. She continued to be active in the Woodward Alumni group in her later years. Inez is fondly remembered by several nicknames by Family and Friends, "Momma", "Aunt Nez", "Nez" and "Granny"!

Inez leaves to cherish her memory, children; Monica Evans, Joseph A. Railey, Jonathan W. Railey (Carol), Michelle Wilcox (Wardell), Micheal Railey, eleven grandchildren; sister-in-laws Lucille Railey, Nadine Crowder of Cleveland, Ohio; brother-in-laws Austin Railey, James Railey and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
