James Ray DECK James Ray Deck, 82, of Hebron went home to be with Lord on Monday, April 25th. James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn (1996) and son, Jonathan (2005). James served in the army in Fairbanks, Alaska and then went on to work for General Motors where he retired in 1984. After that he was employed by Boone County School District until he retired after 14 years of service. He continued working until the age of 79. He was an active member of Florence Baptist Temple where he and his family served in many capacities since 1976. He enjoyed playing cards, having meals with friends, and spending time with his family. He is survived by eight children; RayAnne Moore (Richard), Penny Keller, Jimmie Deck (Michelle), Kim Stephens (Ken), Connie Carpenter (Jon), April Scroggins (Danny), Sharon Brown (Tim), and Audra Points (Corey); 19 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday April 29th from 10:30-noon with services immediately following at Florence Baptist Temple, 1898 Florence Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Graveside services will be held at Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery, 6430 Hopeful Church Road, Florence, KY 41042. Professional services entrusted to Grunn Funeral Home |
