Jeremiah SMITH
Jeremiah Edward Smith, 37, passed suddenly on July
1, 2014. He was born in Charleston, SC on January 11, 1977 to
Royal and Stephanie Smith. He was a Navy brat, as his Dad was
in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Charleston.
He is survived by his parents; his sister and her
husband, Dewayne and Amy Ware; his niece, Jaika Ware; his grandparents
Ralph and Donna Burton; his uncle, Stephen Burton; and Paddy,
the cat.
Jeremiah is also known as Edward J. Smitty online,
where he had many friends and was a successful virtual DJ. He
chose this handle because his and his Father's middle name are
Edward and his father was known as Smitty during his years in
the Navy in young Jeremiah's life. Born into a Navy family can
be difficult, as he moved many times during his short life, finally
landing in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he spent about 12 years.
He had a creative spirit, he liked to paint and
draw. We have pictures he painted as a child, and they mean a
great deal to us. He also had a lot of fun creating items for
friends on an online game he used to play, and send them to us
and they were very beautiful.
Jeremiah had a gentle spirit, when he saw someone
trying to sweep a cat off of his air conditioner, he saved her
and she became his greatest companion in life.
Our family is so grateful for your love, prayers
and support as we travel down this long road of grief and mourning.

Dear Royal,
We appreciate you thinking of us in this great hour of grief.
You will always be part of the Techskills/Asher College
family. Your burden is our burden. Please know that our
prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. No words
can ever begin to ease your suffering, but know that you
do not carry this burden alone. At some time in the future,
may peace and rest find a place in the hearts of you and
your family.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Linda and the Techskills/Asher College Staff
