Latonia Campbell
Latonia was born on December 24, 1968 in Cincinnati,
OH. She was the eldest of three children born to Samuel and Mary
Campbell. God called her home on Sunday, January 12, 2014.
She was affectionately known as Toni or T-zoney
by all her family and friends. Sam and Mary raised their children
in the word of God and lead them to church on a regular basis.
It was because of this training that Latonia and her siblings
accepted Christ into their hearts at an early age. Toni was baptized
under the leadership of the late Mother Justine Sanders. In 1982
The Campbell family joined and began serving at Christ Emmanuel
Baptist Church. Latonia sang in the children's choir. Latonia
was educated in the Winton Woods School District.
Latonia's contagious smile, bright eyes and big
heart allowed her to never meet a stranger. To know her was to
love her. She was a loyal friend and anytime someone she loved
was in need of assistance you could count on Toni to come through!
If it was a home cooked meal or lending a hand she jumped right
in and made a difference. Latonia also known as "Granny"
spent much time caring for her grandchildren. Her little sister
who at times, ran on overload could always count on her big Sister
to balance her out and help her meet her deadlines and goals.
The true definition of Love is the giving of oneself and Toni
possessed love!!
Latonia's untimely death will forever leave a void
in all of our lives. Every holiday season you could count on her
to come home and assist her mother with the cooking and cleaning
for family functions. She loved to barbeque on the grill. Her
witty personality brought many smiles and much joy and happiness
to all of our lives. Latonia was preceded in death by her younger
brother, Samuel Jr. She leaves to cherish her precious memory
her father Samuel Sr. and mother Mary. Her sister Patricia and
her devoted children Shaniqua Anderson (Mark), Shaneia and Davonte
Campbell. Her grandchildren Jamar, Mykayla, Adrian, Taymir and
Iymir. Her grandmothers Carrie Duffey and Ethel Campbell and a
host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Friends and Family are invited to a Visitation (12p)
and Funeral (1p) on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Christ Emmanuel
Christian Fellowship, 2324 May St, Cincinnati, OH 45206.
