Lawanda MITCHELL

Lawanda Renea Mitchell was born on December 30, 1968, in Detroit Michigan to the proud parents of the Joseph and Lillian Mitchell. Lawanda Renea left this life to be with the Lord on February 17, 2016.

Lawanda was nurtured and grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio in a Baptist church environment. Lawanda was baptized at an early age at New Unity Baptist church.

Lawanda rededicated her life to Christ with Inspirational Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. she attended Hughes High School and was employed as an environmental specialist.
Lawanda's was well known as {Sissy, Big Worm or Lips}. Her legacy was her generosity. She would walk into friends' houses and start cleaning. Lawanda will always be fondly remembered for caring for anyone that needed food.

There wasn't a child she wasn't open to loving and caring for. Lawanda cherished spending time with her own grandchildren. Traveling to enjoy watching bowling tournaments. She had a passion for her favorites, crab legs, shrimp, sunflower seeds and jolly ranchers.

Sissy leaves to treasure her memory her loving parents Joseph Lee and Lillian Wright Mitchell, two children, Kenyatta and Keith Mitchell, sister, Tanya La'Shelle Coates {James} Earman La'Vone Mitchell {Jamesha} grandchildren: Keivon Mitchell and Ka'Mauire Harris, Everett Smith her soul mate who played an important role in Sissy's life and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Lawanda was preceded in death by Lillian Wright (William Mustin), Fred Wright, Marie Abraham (Leonard Abraham), Mary Boston (Henry Boston), and Marie Wilson (Thomas Wilson).
