Linear LOVETT

Linear Cornelius Lovett Jr., also known as "June" had a heart as big as the sun that gave rays full of love and laughter. He was born to the late Linear and Rose Lovett, Sr. on September 28, 1955. He attended First New Shiloh Baptist Church where he received Christ at an early age and faithfully served until his transition to be with the Lord.

Linear graduated from Woodward High School in 1973, where he excelled in athletics, earning him a football scholarship to attend Eastern Kentucky University (EKU). Upon graduating with a Bachelor's Degree from EKU, he joined the Kroger Company where he excelled within their Business Management Program. From there he went on to work within the insurance industry, with both Aetna and Travelers Insurance for 27 years before retiring as a Regional Director.

Linear was blessed to father two beautiful children, Linear C. Lovett III, also known as "Trey" and Syreina Latrice Landrum; both of whom he loved dearly. Linear was a very loving and friendly person who enjoyed telling entertaining stories, joking around, long-winded prayers, and cooking and eating a lot. He was also a man of great wisdom and would not hesitate to provide mentorship to anyone who asked of him.

Linear was very passionate about the Lord and his word. He was a Deacon in training, who enjoyed leading devotional service. He also was radical and free in his praise! One of the last songs we heard him sing was "You can't make me doubt him." Other songs he enjoyed singing were, "Jesus is on the main line" and "This morning when I rose."

He leaves to cherish his memories, his son and daughter, Linear C. Lovett III (Atlanta, GA) and Syreina Latrice Landrum (Ontario, CA); his two sisters Doreen Booker and Tamara L. Jackson (Michael) (McDonough, GA), his nieces Kellie Caldwell and Karissa Booker, his nephews Kelvin Lovett and Kamryn Goosby (Ciara) (San Diego, CA), his aunts Martenia Pringle, Thelma Smith, Bernice Mincy and Classy Lovett, four great nieces, two great nephews, and an extensive host of other loving family members and very close friends.
