Lori JOHNSON

Lori Renee Johnson was born May 21, 1965 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She departed this life to be with the Lord on March 18, 2016.

Lori attended Princeton Schools where she was actively involved in sports. She was a skilled track star, oftentimes competing with and beating her brother, Lance.

Lori confessed her faith in Christ, at an early age, while attending Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was an energetic, outgoing person who never met a stranger.

Lori had faith in others; always encouraging, loving, and forgiving. She was never judgmental. She loved others, unconditionally, despite their shortcomings. Her favorite saying was, "I'm going to allow you to be where you are".

Lori was very creative and innovative. She always had an idea on the "front and back burners." If you wanted her to be a part of your plan, she would always jump on board, and then take the lead.

She began her career at Lucent Technologies while living in Cincinnati. She was later transferred to Atlanta where she resided for seven years. The company transferred her again, to Oklahoma City for several years before returning home to Cincinnati in 2014.

Lori lived life to the fullest. Her many passions included cooking and family. Each holiday, she indulged her family with her delicious banana pudding. Lori would not eat anything if she thought there was butter in it. After family dinners and holiday gatherings, she loved taking a carry-out. Spending time with Lori was always an exciting adventure!

Her grandchildren meant the world to her. Lori frequently spoiled her nieces and nephews, giving them lots of candy, which earned her the title of “Favorite Auntie.”

She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis O. (nee Williams) Webster and step-brother, Kevin Allen.

Lori leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children, Taijuan D. Johnson and Anissa N. Cornelius (Benjamin); father, Kenneth (Lynnette); siblings, Lance (Jan), Kim (who was Lori’s 1st birthday present, born on the same day), Kelley, Kevin Webster and Rhesa; seven beloved “Snuckuums” (grandchildren); uncle, James Williams (Shirley); aunt, Janice Wright (Danny); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
