Louise WHITEHEAD

Louise Mae Whitehead nee Barnes aka (Peaches and Lala), aged 69, was called home on January 31, 2016 with daughters by her side, after a brief struggle with cancer. Louise was born March 18, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio eldest child of Walter Barnes Sr. and Thelma Louise Barnes.

Louise graduated from Central High school and attended The University of Cincinnati. She was a creative soul and a woman of many talents, passionate about cooking, photography, family, friends and helping others. While raising five children she established "The Loven Oven" and catered luncheons, business events and weddings. She was famous for her Chess Pie, Pound Cake and Gourmet dishes. Her love for photography created "Exposures" a freelance photography venture that booked Social events, Galas and in her down time took pictures of her grandchildren. A true Fashionista, Louise was a seamstress who modeled her own designs while being envied by all. Louise was a loving mother and loyal friend that many confided in, loved by all who knew her; she was truly an Amazing woman.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents Walter Barnes Sr. and Thelma Louise Barnes nee Thrasher.

Left to cherish her memory is her children Teresa Speed, Delanda and (Ibraheem Muhammad) Harris, Ingrid and (Harold) Croley, Sean Whitehead and Nichole Whitehead. Her grandchildren Chandra Barnes, Cerrissa Whitehead, Chimere Caldwell, Danielle Whitehead, Ciaira Caldwell, Chaz Caldwell, Sean Whitehead, Delmar Byrd, Rondrea Smith, Malcolm Whitehead and Kevin Whitehead. Her siblings Walter Barnes Jr., Rose Mary Caswell, Doris Rhodes and James Barnes Sr. She also leave behind sixteen great grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private repast will be held between 3:00 and 6:00 P.M., Saturday February 6, 2016 for family and close friends.
