Mary SCHENCK

Mary Eleanor Stonerock Schenck-age 90, made her transition May 17 at Hospice of Dayton.

Mary was born August 16, 1923 in Union, Ohio to Thelma Siler Stonerock and John Edwin Stonerock.

Mary graduated from Randolph High School and soon married the love of her life, Robert Schenck. They quickly started a family and built a house in West Milton. Mary loved entertaining and her house was always bustling with activity. An avid nature lover, she surrounded herself with beauty and enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

In later years Mary frequently traveled to Florida with her mother and brother and loved watching manatees and ocean life from the pier. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in passing by her husband Robert L. Schenck and daughter Karen J. Duhl. Her surviving daughters are Roberta Bowers, Elizabeth Holycross, and April Schenck. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Mary, Kathy, Robert, Carrie, Jake, Amy, Micah, Nichole, Samantha, and Hope as well as 15 great grandchildren, Jesse, Katie, Kelsey, Kaleb, Zoe, Lily, Lucy, Winifred, Henry, Domenick, Hayden, Sarah, Naomi, Keegan and Kinsley.

Memorial services will be held at 11am, May 23, 2014 at West Milton United Church of Christ, 108 S. Main Street.
