Maxine BOBO

Maxine Stokes Bobo accepted the call to Pick Up her Golden Keys to her New Home in Heaven, on June 18, 2016. An Angel escorted her peacefully from her earthly home to Heaven after a long illness.

Maxine was born November 20, 1930 in Blytheville Arkansas to the late Bud Stokes and Rachel Stokes Ware. She attended Richard B. Harrison High School. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Leander Bobo in 1960. After several jobs helping people, Maxine worked at Lyhie Clinic in Boston Massachusetts, for 20 years. In 1984, Maxine retired and moved to Anchorage Alaska while her son, Aaron served in the military. Around March 2010 she re-located to Cincinnati Ohio with her son and gained a Daughter-In-Law.

Maxine loved children. Affectionately known as Mom, Aunt Maxine or Grandmother, she was a delightful, Dearing, Mother, Aunt and Grandmother who loved and raised many of the children in her family. Maxine also enjoyed helping others any way she could.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted son, Aaron (Bernadine) Leroy Stokes, Sr.; five adoring grandchildren, Kiera, Anthony B. (deasced), Aaron L. Jr., Trayvond, and Kanuri Stokes; one caring step grandchild, Brittany Franklin; one great-grand child, an affectionate Brother-in-Law, Henry (Shirley) Bobo, one devoted niece Traci Bobo, a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins; and other family member and friends.
