Renicul Lashawn Kelley, Sr. was born October 25, 1972 to Druscilla Kelley and Johnny Frank Ashley Nix in Sylacauga, AL. He was affectionately known as Shawn. He was the oldest of three siblings. He moved to Cincinnati at the age of eleven, living with his step-mother Christine and his father, Johnny.

In 2003 Shawn joined in holy matrimony to Margaret Elizabeth Grant, his long-time sweetheart. Shawn was a father of eleven children that include nine from their union, Malayna, Renicul Jr., Josiah, Amari, Rihyael, Micah, Hezikiah, Azaliah, and Roman, as well as, Bria Kelley, and Jordan Russell.

Shawn was a Christian who dedicated his life to Christ under the Pastoral Leadership of Apostle Jerome McIntosh of God's Vision Kingdom Ministry. He was a member of the Iron Man Men's Ministry and he was in training to follow the call to minister alongside his wife Apostle Margaret Kelley.

Shawn was a loving father and husband who was an excellent provider of his family. All who knew him would say he was a strong willed person who always made people laugh and smile. He was full of fun and adventure and he lived his life to the fullest. Anytime, he saw his friends, he would start his conversation with, "What up, Big Dog?" or "Yo, yo, yo!" just to bring a smile to their face. In 2007 he became an entrepreneur and started his company called Quality1 Tree Service. Shawn loved motorcycles and he was known to the motorcycle community as Batman. He often rode his Harley and anyone could hear him coming a mile away because of his loud music. Shawn had a heart of gold. He enjoyed helping people whether someone was stranded on a road or to give money to homeless people.

On November, 29, 2015, God saw fit to call his angel home. Shawn leaves to cherish his memories Margaret Kelley, Wife; his eleven children; Nyla Coleman, grand-daughter; Druscilla Kelley, mother; Johnny Nix, father; Christine Burrell-Nix Simms, step-mother; Ira Nix, brother; April Nix, sister; Leonora Grant, mother-in-law; Christopher Cameron: brother-in-law, Christina Cameron, sister-in-law; Dorothy Kelley aka Big Mom, grandmother, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.
