Thormon THOMPSON

Thormon was born January 18, 1938 to John Lewis and Daisy Thompson. He was the second oldest of six children. An older sister (Evelma) and younger brother (Charles) preceded him in death.

Thormon joined the army as a young teenager. He served in the Korean War for four years. Upon his return he wanted to complete his education. He received his high school diploma from Taft High School by attending night classes. Later he studied 3 years at the University of Cincinnati working towards a degree in Criminal Justice.

Thormon worked for General Electric for a short period, then was employed by General Hospital. He left there to work for Ralston Purina for 5 years, then retired after 18 years of work at University Hospital.

He was an avid reader and music lover. Thormon spent many hours shopping for old LP's and cassettes of his favorite artists. He also liked to travel to California. He will be remembered as a quiet man who loved to sit on the porch around his buddies.

He leaves to mourn his death a "son" Blair Deering, two sisters Senoria Hanna and Yvonne Young, and a brother Curtis (Gayle) Thompson of West Palm Beach, Florida, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
