William DAVIS
William Henry Davis Jr. was born September 7, 1949
in Macon, Georgia to his late parents William Henry Davis Sr.
and Minnie Davis.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized
at Pine Hill Baptist church under the late Reverend Fred Johnson
and served as a Junior Deacon. Junior loved the Lord and read
his bible daily.
He attended Hughes High School and was a great learner
and very intelligent. Junior loved to cook and feed everyone.
He gave his all, even his last penny to others. He loved music
and collected all types of records and CD's. He was a published
author and his work was published in the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Junior worked various jobs until retiring from the
Hennigan Printing Company. He was a great leader and organizer.
He started several unions for many companies. He always looked
out for others.
Junior loved sports and played baseball for the
Clovers and the Newcomers. His favorite team was the Pittsburgh
Steelers.
Junior loved spending time with his family and friends.
He loved his daughters and grandchildren, they were the joy of
his life.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two beautiful daughters,
Lisa-Viv and Starr (Justin), three grandchildren, Chai'Yann, Donavann
and Preston, his siblings; Ernest C. Davis Sr., Barbara Collins
(Charles), Alice Hill (Wayne), Alma Davis, Monica Belser (Milton),
Lisa Caldwell, Cynthia Hall, Marla Lovette (Garnet), Marketa Huff
(Terry), Hattie Brown, Sandra Davis, Annette Scruggs (William),
Jackie Davis (Tracey), Tonji Sumler (Greg), Jennifer Matthews
(Jerome). Uncles Dr. Rev. Joseph Davis, Macon, Georgia; Rev. Clarence
Davis (Lucille) Shelby, North Carolina, David Howard and Aunt
Mary Harris, Syracuse, New York; Aunt Ruby Jones, Uncle Otis Williams,
Aunts Juanita and Carrie Williams all of Cincinnati, Ohio and
a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He also left his fiancée' Louise Austin and his best friend
Donald Moore.
He was preceded in death in by his lovely granddaughter
Savannah R. Latham.
The family invites friends to a Visitation (11am)
and Funeral Service (12pm) on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Clifton
Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3800 Clifton Ave., Cincinnati, OH
