Kenneth PENDLETON

Ken Pendleton, 72, died March 26, 2015, with his family by his side in Cincinnati, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday March 31, 2015 at 11am at the Sharonville United Methodist Church in Sharonville, OH.

Ken was born April 20, 1942 in Ashtabula, Ohio to Edgar B. and Vivian Pendleton. As a boy, Ken had a paper route which he approached with youthful glee riding over packed snow to help support his family. He graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1960. He earned a BS in Chemistry at Ohio State University and an MBA from University of Cincinnati and was a registered professional engineer.
He met Barb in 1964 through his summer job in Northeast Ohio. They fell in love and were married in 1965. They moved to Cincinnati in 1968. He worked in various fields related to chemistry until he started the K.A. Pendleton Company in the early 1980’s. He consulted on and provided pioneer industrial waste management services and later provided equipment to more efficiently recycle industrial waste.

Ken was a soccer coach and a long-time volunteer with Boy Scouts. His hobbies and interests included playing with grandchildren and pets, swimming and playing Ultimate Frisbee, gardening, ham radio, researching emerging health issues and sharing his findings with others.

He is loved and survived by his wife Barbara, his children Bonnie, Kevin, Kathy, Brenda and Bryan, their spouses and 8 grandchildren. Other relatives include his brother Jim, his sister Ellen, and half-brothers Don, Bob, Dean and Lee.
